Another danger o...You are so right with this post. Another danger of weight loss forums (and I do somewhat actively but selectively participate in one) is the opposite of what you described: enabling and helping rationalize away the 'slips.' <br /><br />I've seen it over and over - <br /><br />"Sodium plays havoc"<br />"Hormones can cause a weight fluctuation"<br />"One cookie isn't going to hurt anything"<br /><br />etc.<br /><br />What's missing from those statements are the follow up questions - <br /><br />"How are you going to get back on track?"<br />"What's going on with you that caused you to slip?"<br /><br />I think some of the best encouragement I've ever received stressed self-honesty. <br /><br />Thanks for your post!-Maurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06347904320260812290noreply@blogger.com
